Question Trans/Trxfr Fluids question .....

Has anyone noticed any kind of MPG difference after changing Transmission, Tranfer Case (4x4), or Rear Diff fluids???

Re: Trans/Trxfr Fluids question .....

I changed both front and rear differentials to Royal Purple Full synthetic 75W-140 in rear and 75W-90 in the front - and the transfer case to Mobil 1 full synthetic universal ATF. I track my milage every fillup and - Honestly have recorded NO DIFFERENCE. However - that being said - I do feel piece of mind that the internals are better protected with new lubricant filled to level and the maintanance is done on schedual to protect my warranty.

Re: Trans/Trxfr Fluids question .....

I've changed all three also and I haven't noticed a difference. Not to say there wasn't a change, but nothing noticeable. A more noticeable MPG change that I can see is been over the past two months in which I've adjusted my driving style (lower speed cruise, etc.). I'm about 1 - 2 MPG more than previously.

Like roy said though, piece of mind more than anything else.

Re: Trans/Trxfr Fluids question .....

Thanks guys!!! I'm heading to Florida for vacation in a few weeks and since I'm currently only getting about 260 miles per fillup (thanks to the dadgumned increase in Ethanol blend), it looks like this vacation hauler is gonna have to stay parked while we squeeze the family into the Murano for this trip.
