Check Engine and SLIP Light

OK, I was visiting a freind and she lives in a coldasack. ( Not sure if thats how you spell it ) I had to do a U-Turn. So I started to do it and as I was doing the U-Turn, I noticed the Check Engine Light came on. Then as I proceeded in the other direction and tried to go, the SLIP light came on. I never even got to 5 MPH. After that, the RPMs wouldnt go past 1500. I pulled over and turned off the truck and started it up right away and the same. I turned it off again and waited about 5 minutes and the SLIP light went away but the Check Engine Light didnt but I was able to drive the truck. Any Ideas?????

Re: Check Engine and SLIP Light

Swing by an auto parts place, most of them will pull the code for free. You could also pull the code yourself
Read and Reset the Service Engine Soon (SES) light

Go here and check it, http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/Common/codes3.htm

Re: Check Engine and SLIP Light

Just got back, they hooked up the cunsult II and they pulled a couple of codes. On of them was something to do with the gas tank for emissions. And the other code was from the engine. Both codes are tied to each other. The good news is that its under warrenty.

Im not too sure what that is. He said that when the gas expands it goes into a canister or something like that. I was half asleep when he explained it to me
