Im about tired of Nissan

Rear end went out 04 LE oR BT titan. i have a lift there for warranty is void , i understand that.

I'm having it towed to a shop to get a trutrc installed. I go to price out a ring and pinion and gears just incase it got trashed. They tell me i cant buy a ring and pinion that i have to buy the whole rear end to get it..!!!

Anyone else have this problem? Im thinking of going to Dana and talking to them to see what i can do.

Not an uncommon thing... and I believe the rear in our trucks IS a Dana... Lot of good that did you, huh? Oh, and the warranty is NOT bogus. The dealership would need to prove your lift caused the failure. With the track record of the '04 Titans, they'd have more than a difficult time doing that.

Bottomline... YOU NEED TO FIGHT IT. Take it to Nissan Corporate if necessary. Dozens, and I mean DOZENS of guys have had this happen. They know it. They need to be informed that YOU know it.

Are you still within your 60K drivetrain warranty?

I was out back of a dealership here yesterday and they had a huge pile of Titan Rear Diffs sitting outside in the back. I took a close look to confirm and they are definitly Titan. I'm guessing there were about 20 of them stacked there, guess I should've counted.

Im into my extended warranty. i think got it June or July of 04.
I got mad enough that i told them to F'off

and i had to towed to a Rear end shop to get my trutrac put in. I would rather spend 4 grand with someone else now than drop one cent with nissan now. Great truck bad service.

I might look into fighting it but i dont have the time I have to have a truck now, my business depends on that truck to pull my pressure washing trailer.

Now that i think on it I will shoot a letter or Email to Nissan corprate and see what happends.
