Re: Synthetic Oil in Titan

I just change my oil (synthetic) twice a year. Works out to about every 6K miles.

I change mine every six months also, the oil is still relatively clean.

Re: Synthetic Oil in Titan

I can't believe this nonsense. Yea, syn oil is bad for your engine. And Santa Claus fits his fat a*s down my chimney too.

To the best of my knowledge, the only engine that specifically forbids syn oil is a Mazda rotary engine. But that was some time ago, so it might have changed.

All these myths about syn oil causing leaks or harming your engine make me want go sh*t in my hat.

Re: Synthetic Oil in Titan

The ONLY thing i initially freaked out about was how thin synthetic is when its drained. But today's cars are MFG'd to higher and tighter tolerances so it's no biggie.

Thumbs up Re: Synthetic Oil in Titan

I have always used M1 5w30 and mobil filter since 10,000 miles. I now have 32,000 miles with no issues. I do 5,000 mile change intervals.

Re: Synthetic Oil in Titan

Tell them if you have any leaks, it's warranty anyhow and it has nothing to do with whether you use synth or not. Tell them numbnuts to quit perpetuating falsehoods and such, the oil is not even thinner, it just has a better pour point than regular dino oil. Its specs are better and will last longer than any dino oil. Do stealers really think the public is that dumb anymore? Oh and tell them that they had better order another rear end for the truck, it has synthetic in it and all the fluid is gonna leak out. Well they might be safe to have another one on hand anyhow.
