Mine starts when i hit about 40mph and stops when i hit over 60. Seems like everyone has the whistle...so no biggie, right?

Re: Engine Whistles

Hey Troy that sounds really awsome that you get 40 mpg. I only get about 17. What upgrades do you have? just jokin. What is the RPM sitting at when you get the whistle. Also check to make sure its not an add on like a bug shild thats lose.

Re: Engine Whistles

Haha, i edited the post...could of sworn i typed "MPH", anyways, It's about at 2-2.5k i believe. I'll check out the bug shield, also the previous owner installed some switches just below the steering wheel, so it could be some holes that he made as well...

Re: Engine Whistles

Troy did you ever find that whistle? I know mine was hard to locate since the engine wasnt doing it when it was in neutral. I hope you find it and its nothing serious. I know some earlier posts listed manifold problems. But mine was the dirty gasket between the manifold and the T.B.

Re: Engine Whistles

I never did. The RPM that I told you is actually lower...its usually around 1-1.5k RPMs and after it hits around 40-60 MPH, and then stops. It's really hard to tell when I'm driving...i have no clue of what to do about it...
