NISMO Exhaust

Hey i'm new to titantalk, but i just wanted to know your opinion on the NISMO exhaust system. Do i need to get headers and the whole set up in order for the it to sound great and give performance boosts, or is the exhaust kit all good? Also, sorry if this sounds stupid but, is dual exhaust an upgrade or do you ask the installer to make it come out as duals?

Thanks for your time.

Re: NISMO Exhaust

Check my sig. It'll show you the system.

Alone you'll feel a difference....

Coupled with a CAI, you'll feel a difference....

With headers, you'll feel a difference.... And it will be LOUD!

But without the proper tune, all that air movement through your engine can bite you. The need to check the AFR rises with the improved breathing capabilities.

I have the Nismo CAI & exhaust...but no headers.

And yes, you will feel gains.

Re: NISMO Exhaust

It will add power but the exhaust is a system and like BB said, once you add headers you may want to seriously consider AFR adjustments via a tune. Here's a noise level and torque demo, a great system but loud with headers and no Xpipe, gotta love it though, lol.

Alrighty, thanks for the quick replys. What if i just get the kit alone at first and then later in the next few months get headers (since i know the headers are expensive), is that gonna sound good as well? What about costs, for the kit and installation? I will probably take it to Ripley's if anyone in the houston area knows where that is, they are a bit pricey but do good work, also if you know any other shops i could take it to in order to get the kit installed.
