Yes you could, just make sure you get the right E-loc for the right year...04-07 are all the same...08+ are the same.
You can get a TruTrac for 04'-07' Titans, the big advantage of a TT over the factory E-loc is that the TT replaces all the spyder gears....which is the part most likely to fail....

What he said, but if your 04-07 id go with the truetrac instead of a diff swap. Those year e-locker diffs werent very strong at all. 08+id go for an e locker, but if truetrac was available id go for the truetrac. Lots of guys with the 04-07 have ditched the e-locker for the truetrac

Well thats good to know, i was wondering if the TT would be worth it because 1 wheel drive is getting annoying. I dont do alot of hardcore off roading but even playing in gravel pits and light mud is tough in stock condition
If you're looking to get a full locking unit, ARB makes one for the Titan.

I'll have to learn more about that ARB. My 06 rear just got replaced with an 08 today. I can't imagine a 4x2 having a different rear than a 4x4. but, you never know.

No, it doesn't fit 08, and I know what you are really thinking. I couldn't get hold of the axle to take home and recover the TT. I have little doubt it was fine. I'll be saving pennies a long time to get me an ARB.

I doubt honestly it should be a pretty simple swap spline count is the same. Just bolt on the rind gear set the back lash, run some wires and be done with it

Just buy the whole axle at a Junkyard. After that, (I may be wrong) I think it is just a 2 wire hookup with a manual switch in the cab. It all bypasses the ECU.
