Why would "lose" 4x4 by getting these? I dont see how. I have different gears now front to back with no problems. I have little tow in the front and big tow rear. Ive used 4wd twice since the swap with no probs. What the difference between that and this?
mmm ive heard you can snap or brake the front end since the gear ratio aint the same ive seen it happen on jeeps when rock climbing and gears aint the same
uggh, forget the front diff gears, they should be helping out us 08 guys by making gears an a tru trac for 08 axles. I really don't want to buy a sweet new rearend, but I may not have a choice, I want new gears!

lol, the new rearend would be soo sick. I wouldn't even know where to go shopping for one, or how much money I would need, let alone finding a good installer.

I remember reading some past posts about the "Mild to Wild Titans" writeup and the complete axle swap. Has anyone further researched this? What is Dynatrac wanting for their setups? They used a 4.56 gear, Detroit locker and 35 spline shafts. If we wanted to stay "stock", i guess the only thing to bring over is our ring tones? Someone have more info?
Would this not be a better setup, albeit more expensive...but certainly more durible than our fragile Dana 44. The Dynatrac has larger axles and all...?
Just trying to get as much info as possible...

Its not a good idea but as long as you dont have too much traction it will probably be alright. Id be very gentle with it like that though. If you get too much traction something could very easily bind up and pop goes the front diff. i've seen it happen on a few chevies.
See thats what I do, play for maybe 10-20 min and thats it. But like Blk04.. Said i will lose 4wd for some gears temporarley...... I hope! I almost never use my 4x4, I know you up north guys prolly use it all winter long. Lol

yea, but you can actually order here and have it delivered so a mechanic of your choice can install it. plus if there's high demand maybe Superior will speed development up on the front ring & pinion.
there would be higher demand if the 4x4 guys could get both front and rear gears (which is probably 75% of all Titan's sold)

Rugged Rock has just added superior rear ring & pinion gears to their website advertising the 4.10 and the 4.56 ratio's. 249 + shipping. Now all we need is the front.
I received an email from Rugged Rock about these gears. Now hopefully the fronts will be on the way and then 2008+ owners can keep our fingers crossed that they make gears for us. atleast it is a start
