I'd love 3:73 gearing and a TrueTrac. (sigh) The mod list builds so much faster than the account to afford them (shakes head)

i hope they really do have gears that work for the 2009s but i wonder why there was no mention on the website just 2004 to 2007??? Does any company have plans to make Trutrac for the 2008+?

what modification did hoopers do in order to fit a 35spline axle shaft into a 32 spline designed TRUTRAC?

do you machine off 3 of the 35 splines on the axles and fit it into the tru trac with machining work? Do you machine the tru trac components as well?

someone has to know...

Correct me if i am wrong. I believe the trutrac is made for the titan. The gears they install are not.

is its made for the titan years 04-07 but not for the 2008 due to the change of axle shaft spline count of 32 splines (04-07) to 35splines (2008+)...

There are some members on here and other sites that have 2008 models with a modification done by Hoopers in order for the trutrac to fit.

The modification can't be that major if it only takes about a day for the install and mod to make it all work.

If the modification was released then Eaton wouldn't have to make a new TT for the 08+ models, we could just buy the original trutrac, have the modification done at a local rear end shop, and be on our way... its not like hoopers would lose business from anyone on the east coast or in california.

someone with rear end knowledge could have some ideas or suggestions on how to make it work....

I stand corrected. I to would be interested to know. Think that the female splines are somehow swapped from the stock dif to the trutrac? Basically where the axle shafts insert the trutrac, is that piece removable and possibly swapable (not a real word) ??

First I've heard of this...Are you sure?

The only way to get 35 spline axles into a 32 spline TT would be to replace the TT's side gears with units from another TT application that runs the same size 35 splines AND fits into the Titans TT case...If that was the case, wouldn't Eaton simply do the same them selves...

See i'm so glad you brought that up. We would think so that dana would do that right..lol? Maybe their focus is elsewhere.

This link was brought up over in clubfrontier about swapping the side gears on the titan trutrac to another D44 TT with a 35 spline count.

if all you guys want detroit tru trac for your 08+ i say bombard thier site with emails asking why they havent made one yet, also state that hundreds if not thousands of the 04-07 have sold so why not take a chancew on the newer titans?
