Gears are out!!!

For those that may be interested just ordered 3.73 rear ring and pinion from Superior Axles & Gears located 9580 Commerce Center Dr. Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. 91730. #888-522-2953. Ask for Chad. He was very helpful. I believe they will make them all the way up to 4.56. No front gears out yet. Suppose to be working on it. It Probably will depend on demand. Will be also replacing rear spider gears with trutrac. Son running 35's on 6" pro comp Stage 2 lift.

Eh, theres already a gear place thats been doing this for a while now in Cali

yea, but you can actually order here and have it delivered so a mechanic of your choice can install it. plus if there's high demand maybe Superior will speed development up on the front ring & pinion.

good point, hoopers doesnt let you order it i think

so if i'm interpreting this right, there is no modification needed to fit these gears, unlike the current gears that hoopers installs? or are these gears the same, needing modification, but just made by a different manufacturer?

yeah that gear place in cali was way ahead of everyone else with their ability to modify gears to make them fit in the titan. the problem is you have to have your truck there in their shop for them to do it. thats awesome for guys that live near there but not so good if you live on the other side of the country. Superior's gears come to your door ready to be installed by any qualified mechanic anywhere in the U.S. but i too cant wait till Superior or anyone else comes out with some front gears!

Hoopers is a custom install. Superior is offering gears that bolt right in with no special modification. Big difference.

This is great news, gears that are plug and go. However, I've looked around at the various posts regarding the exciting new news and cannot find the price point. Can anyone help me out? Whats the est on the labor for the install.

so since they are not needing mods (to be detirmined) will cruise control still be an option?? titan007 your gonna be the guinea pig on this, keep us posted how the install ends up... we are all praying its cheap, keeps the christmas lights off the dash, and cc still works.

Im willing to lose 4wd till they have the gears for the front ... and undy, how often do you really use cruz control????? I haven't ever id i drive out to the desert every month

Why would "lose" 4x4 by getting these? I dont see how. I have different gears now front to back with no problems. I have little tow in the front and big tow rear. Ive used 4wd twice since the swap with no probs. What the difference between that and this?
