Auto headlights

This might be a strange question, but I have auto headlights on my truck, is there a way ti disable that function on my stalk? Basically I want to turn on my driving lights with out my headlights coming on as I pass AUTO on the switch. Just curious, thanks

Re: Auto headlights

Yes.

To the OP... if you want that, just turn the stalk.. You have OFF / AUTO / PARKING LIGHTS / HEADLIGHTS on the four position stalk.. Just select one..

I haven't checked, but this might be on the LE only... Or the LE & SE... not sure... Check out your stalk... See how many positions it has...

Re: Auto headlights

Or if you're trying to get your fogs to come on without your headlights, but with just your parking lights, do a search for fog light mod.

Re: Auto headlights

What i'm trying to do is, I have HID lights, and when it is not very dark out I want to turn on just my driving lights, and when I switch to them I dont want my HID lights to come on for that split second when I turn past them. I just dont want to wear out my ballast. If that makes sense.

Re: Auto headlights

Well then, just put the driving lights on a separate switch on your dash... That way, you control when they're on and when they're off.
