I have a SE king Popular Package with Bench. I was reading some threads that talked about adjusting the flatness in the seat to make it more comfortable. I was looking under the seats and noticed two possible places to put spacers to adjust the tilt. I did three washers per bolt to space the brackets that attach the frame to the floor of the truck. Then, I noticed that where the front of the cushion attaches to the frame of the seat there are two bolts. I decided to find the perfect spacer, a .45 x .324 x 27/64 nylon spacer. You can find them at just about any hardware store. This was the perfect fit. They allowed me to use the stock bolts, and still have enough bite to screw them in. Over all I now have just about a 1" raise in the front of the seats. As for the Results , Way better, much more comfortable. I snapped a few pics while I was doing to so I could show you. I also have some pics earlier in the day after I finished washing it.
I like the bench seats myself as well but would actually like to raise the front as you just did for a little more support under the back of the knee area.
Good job. I also added 3 metal washers to the floor mounts but it was a bit difficult to put the bolts back due to the change in the angles and it still only gives about 1/4 inch raise. I'll add nylon ones as well.
Great job Phedge,
One observation, with the original config, the bottom of the seat sits on the big brackets, pretty big surface area to support the seat.
Now when you put the spacer in, the whole seat will be support only by the bolts and the spacers..... pretty small surface area to support the whole seat.
How about a shorter plastic spacers and then a couple of big round washers right against the bottom of the seat so the seat has a bigger support surface area?
Just a thought. Hate to be bouncing on it for a while and the whole seat will fall down on those two bolts.

Great idea Phedge, I removed the two front bolts (yellow metal color) that secure the driver's seat cushion to the seat frame using a 12mm ratchet. I then experimented with washers I keep in a work room. I found 6 perfectly sized washers. I would rather them not have been lock washers but proceeded to install them anyhow. I did 3 on each side. It took a few extra moments to worm the washers between the cushion and frame and get the bolt home. I measured 3 stacked and figured the seat to have a 3/8 of an inch higher tilt/lift. I then removed the 2 black bottom front floor bolts using a 14 mm wrench. The bolt closest to the driver door has a small plastic cover over it. It can be carefully pried up using a small pen knife. I then found two larger matching washers, one for each side. I forced them between the floor rug and metal frame, reinserted the bolt through the top up the frame, passing through the washer and into the floor. All nuts were tightened snugly. I went conservative on my approach and figured I achieved a total seat lift/ rear incline of 1/2 inch or slightly higher with all bolts secure. I feel a comfortable difference. If I were shorter than my 6' 2'', then I would probably have tweaked it a little more. Great idea and simple to do!
