Hitch Relays

I have an SE and put on my own hitch. The brake lights and turn signals will work, but without those two relays, you will have no running lights so you wouldn't be able to pull a trailer at night safely. I bought the two relays for $ 49 at the dealer, it took 10 seconds to install them. Everything works well. The relay part numbers are 25230-79945 ($17) & 25230-79964 ($30). TMy hitch, wiring, and relays were $ 175 total, so it was a little cheaper than the dealer. The relays come with the dealer hitch if you go that route for about $225 I think that is the price.
Don't know about the cargo light delay. I would think that is hard wired and would need an experienced vehicle electrical person to change.

On my KC XE the cargo light delay is controlled by the Body Control Module under the dash. You aren't able to change it yourself. Possibly, the dealership can reprogram some aspects of the BCM. Someone was telling me that with the NAV feature, you can change options for the truck on that screen. Is something like this in the controls with the nav to change the delay time for the cargo light?
