When all else failed, disconnect the battery. (You should disconnect the battery everytime you are working with anything which has SRS related for safety reason anyway.)

I took mine to the dealer. It took them 3 tries to fix it. THey finally had to replace some kind of cable that was shorting out.

Man i've done it about 10 times now and still no luck. Is there anything that possibly can be triggering this to come on?

Awesome worked great for me!

I had to disconnect the battery to install my satelite radio, took a few tries but eventually I got it.

Re: Dash Air Bag Sensor Reset

This forum is awesome! Had a DVD player installed today, then the air bag light began to flash. Was dreading a trip to the dealer, but this fix worked like a charm. Thanks again!

Re: Dash Air Bag Sensor Reset

I have already been to the dealer about this light. I just bought the truck used, and assumed there was a problem with the airbag. There may be. The dealer hooked it to the computer and told me it was a passenger side seatbelt tensioner, lifetime warranty on seatbelts, no charge. A second Nissan dealership closer to home said 99% of this trouble code instances are false readings from a wiring harness problem. It flashes one long, one short, then 5 shorts. Im going out to try the reset right now, then I'm going to the dealer next week for a seat belt tensioner....

Re: Dash Air Bag Sensor Reset

Didnt work. Maybe I actually have a problem? Now the light just flashes, not in a long, short, five short sequence, but flash flash flash.....
So it did something. Then light comes on with the ignition, then after a delay it blinks off then on again. Do I turn the key off during the first blink off, or after the first blink on? Or does it matter...Does this reset only apply to trucks with no actual sensor issue, that were triggered by accident?

Re: Dash Air Bag Sensor Reset

Awesome! I thought I screwed something up when I gutted the truck for stereo install. Went back through all the wiring 2 days ago, no problems that I could see. Dreading taking it to the dealer. I'll try this after work tonight!

Later that evening....

Worked like a champ! Thanks a lot!

Re: Dash Air Bag Sensor Reset

i had the same problem after dealer serviced a seat squeak both airbag lights went off (supplemental and passenger airbag off)..dealer fixes both.. then a new radio goes in and supplemental air bag goes off. I bring it back to dealer and they say i need a part ..i also notice both before and after the new radio goes in that there is a buzzing sound in the radio ..it happens intermittenly ..can this be a short? Somehow the light reset itself while waiting to be fixed and i have yet to hear the buzzing sound again?????????

Re: Dash Air Bag Sensor Reset

I just had satellite radio installed, and my airbag light was flashing. Did the 3 sets of waiting for the airbag light to turn off with the ignition turned + 5 second breaks, and the light no longer flashes. At least the annoying light is gone... however, now the orange passenger airbag light in the center console is no longer lit even when nobody is sitting there. Suggestions? Does this mean that the passenger airbag will go off in the event of an accident even if nobody is sitting there?
