Question NAV Install?????

Guys and Gals, Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit an SE and install the Nissan NAV system and rear sonar and where I can find a unit? I didn't give it any thought until after my purchase, but it does seem pretty cool. I'm not to sure if the wiring harness will support it or if I will need to run all new wiring.

This was a question on Honda forums too. My guess is that the answer will be the same here. Yes it can be done, but it is probably incredibly cost-prohibitive. For the Honda, the parts alone would run about $5000 without labor. My suggestiong would be to get an aftermarket nav. I saw a post somewhere on here where some person mounted a large LCD screen where the factory nav screen is. You could just hook up a dvd-based nav unit to it, along with a DVD player and other goodies!!

I am putting in the Pioneer AVIC-N1, It's an all in one unit. (Nav/DVD/MP3/CD/headunit) I'm also adding on the back-up camera.

AVIC-N1

I'm also getting a 6 cd changer, voice module, and steering wheel controls.

I will post pictures when I get my truck back on Thursday.

Drauden,
I just got back from looking and playing with the AVIC-N1. What a piece of technology. I can't wait to see how it is installed. I have the LE CC and am debating on getting a new center where the climate contorls are. Hopefully get one that just has the climate control openings in it so it would be a clean install. Then mount 2 screens in the headrest for the backseat or go with the 10.4" screen. I am still debating that one.

Here is the faceplate that I had the shop use:
FACE PLATE
The Nissan Part number is: 68260-7S000

Two weeks prior I had a 9" Directed DVD/screen installed in my overhead. (The 10" unit was just a bit too big to fit in properly)

I did not realize at the time I was going to put in an AVIC-N1, but I am glad I got the DVD player as I can play the DVD in the overhead unit and out put it to the N1 screen. This way I don't ever have to take the Navigation disk out of the N1. I also got a 6 cd changer mounted in my center console.

If I can ever put down the operation manual I will get some pictures taken and uploaded.
