Any progress on this topic?

Still trying to figure out just how I'm going to do these fog lights, I'll buy the kit if I can get the auto feature to work for not much more. Otherwise, I'll be putting in on its own switch by the pedals...

Thanks,

I now have the light sensor but just haven't had the time to check the wiring harness out yet. Adding the sensor is going to be a real challenge and will be time consuming so I really have no desire to start on it now. Maybe in a few weeks.

I got the sensor and was ready to install but I found out after pulling the defrost grille out that there is no wiring harness to connect it to. It could still be done but what a pain it would be. I decided it was not worth it in my case. If someone wants the new sensor I have, I'll sell it to them for $20.00. That's way cheaper than you could get it anywhere.

I might be interested, I will be getting fog's for x-mas, either from someone, or from myself...

Dunno though, sounds like someone needs to try it that has a friend with an LE, so he/she can figure out whats missing, it might be plug and play for all we know...

You will most likely need a BCM... The SE w/out auto headlights doesn't have the programmed option in the existing BCM. Even if you got everything wired up, that specific control module probably wouldn't know what to do.
Cool mod though, maybe someone can get a BCM out of a wrecked truck and switch. Worth a shot.

Its a shame we can't just get a hardware writing device and reprogram/update whatever we want...

I thought some guy on here had an SE w/off road and he complained that the auto didnt work, and they fixed it...

Maybe a re-flash would work? I wouldnt think they would have replaced the whole bcm...

Need more information,

What model is your truck?

I installed the kit in 20 min on x-mas day, they were tied up under the front bumper, your instructions should help you locate them...

The reason I asked model is because I'm not sure some XE Titans are pre-wired for fog's, all SE's are, but if I remember correctly the XE Ex-Cab is not...

Hope that helps, you might need to lie on some cardboard to look up and locate the wiring...

XE's aren't wired

I'd like to thank Nissan for putting in the plug holes and making everything perfect, only for me to get under the truck and see there's no plug. Now I got a kickin set of fog lamp decorations.
I'm trying to find the wire plugs, but I haven't been successful yet. Good luck with your XE

the XE with O/R is pre-wired for foglights (it should have them anyway I think) but other than that the regular XE models aren't.

^^ I'm aware the 4x4 package is available for XE's, I asked if the Off Road Package was available for XE's, I do not think it is...

Off road includes

Fog lights

17" O.R. wheels

Different shocks I think

Front Skid Plate

Probably more stuff too...
