Has anyone got the automatic headlights to work on an SE yet?

I'm interested to know where you guys are ordering your fog lights from. I haven't looked very hard yet, but if there are plug and play fog lights that are made for this truck, I'd order them in a heartbeat.
I'm working on this one! It might be a case where Nissan has taped the connector feed way down to the main harness where you can't see it from above!! Nissan likes to do that alot! I will keep you posted.

I just got mine as an-add on through the dealer when I got my SE; they are the same as the ones used with the off-road and LE packages. If only that auto feature would work... miss having that.

^ ^ No sir, off road package's are availabel for 2wd models as well. Its kind of like the popular package or big tow package, just another package that adds different parts for more money...
No problem, forums are good for learning new things...

I am another SE buyer who cant believe the autolight feature was not included on such a badass truck. i LOVE it on my bmw and cant live without it. I may be up to he mod if we want to hold an open discussion of what we know so far.

What we know so far is in this thread. Where we are at is this: The wiring harness does not appear to have the necessary wiring run up to where the sensor mounts at on the dash. Jamie was going to try and trace this down but never posted any results. (see Titanparts1 post in this thread)
So, if the wiring for this exists then great we can simply wire it up, program and go. If the wiring does not exist then it would have to be added which would be a big job indeed. Not a task I would take on.
So Jamie....what did you find out???

If it's any help, the sensor connects to pins 18 and 58 on the BCM. Pin 18 is the sensor ground, and pin 58 is the sensor signal. The factory install sensor wire connects into the Super Multiple Junction. If you are adding the sensor you could wire it directly to the proper pins on the BCM. Then you will have to install the light stalk with the auto light feature.
However, the BCM must be programmed for the auto lights.

That's true, those wires could be checked to see if they are present at the BCM and if not they could be run. Do you know if the wiring exists that would run from the light stalk to the BCM? Also, FYI....Anyone who installed the factory fog lamp kit has the light stalk with the auto light position because that's the way the stalk comes.
It's been a long time since I have given any thought to this whole notion of adding the auto light function but I believe that the light stalk wiring to the BCM was confusing me so I gave up. I'm at work now so I don't have access to the wiring diagrams.

I think the wiring from the light stalk is present. This is not a standard switch operation. All the switching on the stalk is done with low level voltages and current. These signals are sent to the BCM which controls everything. The switches in the light stalk are arranged in a matrix. This requires fewer wires, and each wire serves several purposes. Since all the matrix wires have to run to the BCM there should be no problem in replacing the light stalk with one that has the Auto switch. (Same thing when adding fog lights - all you have to do is replace the stalk)
See attachment for the matrix diagram.
