Activate Sat Radio

How do I activate the sat radio in my new Titan?

I briefly flipped through the owners manual, but didn't see anything about it.

Thanks

tune to channel 0, get the receiver number, log on to XM sat web site activate your account and the receiver.

It is very easy and only takes a few minutes.

Do what gyroman said, or use the 800 #. The dealer should have avtivated the radio the day you bought it. You should get a free 3 month trial. That is if you have the factory XM radio.

Is it channel 0 or channel 1?

When i got my titan, i was told by XM csr to leave it on channel 1 for up to an hour and it will activate/program. NEVER WORKED! Dealer claimed all was working well when i asked them to check.

Only channels 1 and 247 ever worked.

Anyone have any similar experience? its a 2005, with the mast antenna on the rear window

You can either call the XM 800 # or go on their web site with the information you get from channel 0 and have the activation reset. I have an aftermarket XM unit that was shipped already activated. I was supposed to only have to turn it on and leave it on channel 1 for about an hour, but, just like for you, it didn't work. Refreshing the activation process for the unit with the unit code should do the trick...also, make sure it has a clear line of site to the sky for the hour or so it takes to do the activation...don't park in the garage during this time.
