I second guessed myself when I read that. I have a 11. In the manual it says 75w-140.

Been running Amsoil since the truck had 600 miles. 66,000 now.

Unless you are towing 9000lbs at full throttle up a 20% grade in 120 degree weather I don't see the need.

Just my opinion.

To me, the whole reason for running synthetics is reduced drag for better mileage. Been running Amsoil 75W-90 in everything I own for a long time.
I could give a good crap what you run. Just telling you what Nissan recommends. Opinions are like @ss holes, everyone has one

I'm set up with a free 6 month trial for preferred buyers on their website so maybe I'll give it a shot.

That is a great option. Change all of your fluids in that time. You will save a bundle. Just remember when the 6 months is up. I think they automatically extend it without telling you.

Hell, it's only $20 a year if they do. The savings alone will pay for that a few times over.

No complaints here. I've ran the additives in my rig and have faired well. Everybody on here has their own opinion about oil and additives. Go with a higher end synthetic and see how it goes. If you don't like it change to something else.

Right it will pay for itself. Idid not know it was that cheap after the six months. Where are you in the world? If you are anywhere near NY, Long Island to be exact, I have a dealer that lives around the corner from me literally. I did not read about that deal any further because I knew I was buying from my dealer. Amsoil Dealer not drug dealer LOL!

Re: Changing Fluids: Oil, Transmission, Differentials, Transfer Case, Coolant

I paid for a 5 year preferred dealer/buyer/(whatever) for AMSoil. My neighbor buys oil when I do, and I only charge him a 50% markup.

Looks like you are the local dealer. You should look into buying a Amsoil route. If you have the time. The guy I use does it as a second job. He said he invests like 8 hours a month and clears $1800 to $2500 monthly. And the routes are relatively cheap. Though they will not sell you a route if there are too many in your area.

I'm over in northern Nevada. Lovelock. It's about 90 miles outside of Reno.

That doesn't sound too bad. Lots of mines around here.
