Front bumper

Anyone know if the center chrome piece of the bumper is seperate from the 2 end color pieces? Also, I am trying to find a diagram or "how to" for bumper diassembly.

Yes, the chrome piece is separate. Had mine replaced because it was not entirely chromed at bottom. When they took the bumper apart, the paint at end of colored pieces stuck to chrome center bumper and pulled off paint. They had to be repainted.

Are you trying to get that chrome piece off? The XE bumper is all one piece.. would have to replace with the whole new bumper to get that nice color-matched look. Chrome isn't very easy to paint over.. paint usually ends up chipping off with the slightest impact after a couple thousand miles.

if not, what did you want to get it off for?

Anyways, heres the info from the manual that you need. Adobe sucks, you CANT just export one page, you have to print out and scan it back in... really stupid. here ya go:

you will need to download and zoom in the pictures to read... your browser WONT be large enough I don't think...

Here's a link to the service manual:
http://www.titantalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14739
Look at pages EI 12-14
(That's the same pages I have posted above)

The bumper is actually on my new Armada LE. When I bought the truck last Saturday it was raining quite hard. I did a "once over" to check for dents and scratches before taking delivery. However, due to the water drops on the truck, I missed a crease in the front center chrome bumper section. They ordered a new piece for me and I just want to know what they are gonna have to do to replace it. I hate the thought of having the truck taken apart with only 175 miles on it. I was tempted to just get it myself and do the work. I'll be sure to check the truck thoroughly when they are done. Thanks for the quick repsonses!
