Wink Electric Trailer Brake Connection

I had a hard time finding the connector where the electric brake harness plugs in. Here is where you can find it!

Nissan Titan

Electric Brake Connector Location

Nissan provides a cable to simplify connection of an electric trailer brake control. The cable plugs into a white mating connector under the dash on the left side of the steering column. The white mating connector may be hard to find because it may be wrapped up by black cable covering.

Locating the connector

Secure the vehicle so you can safely release the emergency brake while working.

Slide the driver’s seat all the way back so you can get under the dash.

With the emergency brake released, look up, under the dash, directly above the emergency brake pedal.

Notice a large cable bundle and a smaller cable bundle next to it toward vehicle center (1” right of the large bundle).

The smaller cable bundle contains wiring for the pedal adjust switch, the cargo light switch, and the electric brake connection.

The wires for the electric brake connection are black wrapped making a small cable extending 3“from the end of the small cable bundle.

The white mating connector is wrapped inside a pocket formed by the black plastic cable wrapping around the small cable bundle. The pocket is near the end of the small cable bundle and may be on top of the bundle.

The 3” long electric brake cable forms a small loop extending from the end of the small cable bundle into the back of the white mating connector. Gently pull on the loop to remove the white mating connector from the pocket!

The line
"The smaller cable bundle contains wiring for the pedal adjust switch, the cargo light switch, and the electric brake connection. "

...should read "The smaller cable bundle contains wiring for the pedal adjust switch, the backup sensor switch, and the electric brake connection. "
