Steering wheel sound system controls

Has anyone run across this issue? The manual says that when you push the mode button on the steering wheel, the system will switch as follows: Preset A, Preset B, Preset C, CD and DVD. My mode button goes from FM to AM to CD. I questioned the Nissan Service Department and they say this is apparently the way it is suppose to operate. What do you say?

But remember that you can change disks by holding the "up" toggle for a second. It also works as a seek while in radio mode.

Mine does the same as yours, but I only have A preset. Is it possible that you have to have items in that B or C for that to function?
