Tow package

This my second Titan my first one was model 2004 crewcab LE and the new one is 2005 crewcab LE.
My problem is that the dealer forgot to order the tow package.
Question,
Is it possible to put the 2004 tow package on the new car so that I have the same options again.
Regards from Holland

You can put the hitch on it, But you will have the higher rear gears since it didn't come with Big tow. Unless you have the O/R pkg

Yes I have the o/r packages, but what I want to do is also change the vdc and the tow button.

Not sure what your asking. All the titans have the 'Tow mode' button. Mine does not have VDC though

Sorry, I mean the vdc button, I want that back on my new car.
If you ask me I think it is only a plug-in button in the electrical system to switch off the vdc. Here a picture of my old car.

If it didn't come with VDC, I don't think you can add it later. The switch was only to turn it OFF it you wanted to. Hope this helps

I think it's rated at 7500 since it has the higher rear end gearing

You are also not going to have the transmission temp gauge on the new one without Big Tow. And I would imagine that's a fairly intensive add-on (temp sensor in transmission, new gauge cluster). I wouldn't tow a lot without it.

I'm not sure that you would have gotten VDC in the new truck even if you ordered the Big Tow package. They keep moving VDC between different option packages, but I think you would get the locking differential in your '05 no matter what since you have the offroad package.

You can't add the tow package, only the hitch and harness. Without the tow package the tow rating is 6,500 lbs. I'll sell you the tow hitch for 20% over cost plus shipping.
