Running Boards

Hello All I am a New Titan Owner & I am looking to get some running boards I was wondering if anyone knows what involved with this & if I could do it or if I need to pay someone else to do it for me. Any new holes need drilled I looked underneath & I see Bolt posts but only 1. I a m not sure how many bolts are even on the mounting Brackets. Anyone shed some light on this for me PLEASE!

If you get the OEM ones then it is very easy, although it is easier if you have a helper to hold the rail in place while you tighten the bolts. On my king cab there are 3 posts on each side that it hangs on, then another 3 bolt holes in the frame that bolts will go into after going through the brackets on the rails. All mounting hardware should come with the rails. I'm sure you have the 3 (or maybe 4 on a crew cab) posts and bolt holes and are just not looking in the right places yet.

Most aftermarket ones that are made specifically for the Titan will have brackets that line up with the holes that are already on your Titan. So it should be just as easy. No need to pay someone in my opinion. But it will be much easier if you have a set of deep metric sockets to put the nuts on the posts.

If you like the looks of them, the OEM ones are sturdy and holding up fine for me.

Everything is exactly as travism posted for the Crewcab, but just to clarify, there are also only three studs for the CC rails as well. They are very simple to install. If you are looking to buy some for around 250 bucks, there are always people here trying to sell them for that price. Good luck and welcome to the board. I see that this is your first post. Thanks for the Quick response. I am excited about my New Truck & I am looking forward to getting the running boards. The OEM ones Are not solid I dont beleive they are Tubes are they not? I think I like the solid look a little better. Well I am going to look around & see what folsk have for sale & what I can get off the Net. Hopefully within next week or so I will be trying to put then on myself then. I was afraid I would have to be drilling & I looked & I do not see enough room to get the Drill in if I need to. Most of the ones I have checked out say special Brackets order seperately! Thanks again..

By "solid" I'm assuming you are talking about the kind that fit flush up against the body of the truck? The OEM ones are tubes that are not flush with the body. I would think the type you are looking for would be a bit more complicated to install.
