does anyone know how to take the headlight assembly out so i can replace the bulbs with better ones?

The assembly doesn't have to be removed just for bulb replacement.

Bulb Replacement
HEADLAMP (OUTER SIDE), FOR LOW BEAM

NOTE: Reach through wheel opening for access.
1. Turn headlamp switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
4. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

HEADLAMP (INNER SIDE), FOR HIGH BEAM
1. Turn headlamp switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
4. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

to add to that, it's easy if you crank the wheels so you have more room to reach. you can see them right there with the wheel turned.

And there is 1 phillips head screw that holds the fender liner in place. After you crank the wheel over, remove that screw to get easy access to the headlamps.

I posted this on another forum:

There is a easy way to get to the headlight bulbs to replace them.
1. First, remember to not touch the glass on the bulbs. Doing so may cause early failure of the bulbs. I use clean white cotton gloves when installing the bulbs.
2. Turn the steering wheel all the way to one side.
3. Look in the fender well at the plastic liner. Directly behind the headlight you will find a Phillips screw. This screw is in a recess in the fender liner. Remove this one screw.
4. The fender liner can now be easily pulled back to get access to the bulbs.
5. Disconnect the wiring plug from the bulb.
6. The bulb can now be rotated to remove.
7. Reverse the procedure to install the new bulb.
