I don't know how your remote starter needs to be hooked up because it may be different from mine but the way mine is setup for the starter to start the truck by using the factory fob and hitting the lock button my starter needed to receive a signal from the lock wire and it had to be neg. but that purple wire sends out a pos. pulse. The only thing the relay is for is to change that pos. pulse to a neg. pulse that is going to the remote starter. The wire from my remote starter that received the signal was a blue wire but your may be different, just follow the directions and you should be good.

Your writeup was so good that I ordered a Directed Autostart System off Ebay for $21.50 shipped and will follow ur directions I'll let u know if I am successful
