I have a pair of Bling Lights that i want to install and can't seem to figure out how to mount them without taking off my lower bumper. I have found tons of info about wiring and such but nil on mounting.I need to know if there is a bracket?,or something special i need to do this install.Any suggestions or tips
I'm not sure what to tell you. My truck did not come equipped with the factory fog lights either. I have had the black covers off once, they just seem to snap in there. If you look at the factory 'housing' from inside the wheel well, I'm sure you can figure out a way to mount your lights in there somehow? You'll probably have to fabricate something on your own though.
Yea that's what i thought but after reading so much about the wiring in past threads i just knew there was a trick here that worked.I went to lowes and got a straight bracket 3 inches long with 4 holes that would work,it's just i'll have to take off my front bumper to be able to screw the in.
After searching the threads before me for this question. I still can not find one with the answer. All post revert back to the wiring which has helped me in that aspect of the install. But no tip on the mounting. So I guess i'll figure something out to mount the fog lights and take pics post them here and solve this for all who follow after me.
I ran into the same problem when I bought aftermarket lights! They are still in the box!!
I was going to cut to metal plates to sit against the back of the fog light hole. Drill two hole into the plate with a bolt going through too the back. Mount the fogs to the plate and then mount the entire thing in the hole. The only problem, is that you will have too pull it out to adjust the lights.
Yea i know what you're talking about. There are a couple of different ways of doing this that i can see but i was hoping to get a tip or 2. like i said i have found some 3" straight brackets that will work but i need to be dead on before i go into the hole

I ran into the same problem, nobody seemed to have anything! The back of my foglight holes has a weird cutout. So mounting the bracket without somekind of plate or something seemed like it would be difficult! That is why I got lazy and put them back in the box!
I'll tell you the best way to do it would buy the factory fogs but they're pretty expensive. What I ended up doing was using the black inserts and cutting out a hole the size of the lamp and mounting the fog light into the black inserts. That way they'd just snap right in. I've had it this way for over a year with no problems. If you'd like I could send you some pics.

Please do! That is a cool idea!!! Never even thought about that!
I'll have them on this weekend. I'm pretty positive it can be done without taking off my front bumper. The thing is i'll have to maybe fabricate something, use alittle lock tight, and be patient. I want to do it on my own just because. I still can't believe there are no post this subject or should i say pics??

I had them mounted with an L bracket for quite a while but they kept burning out and I'm pretty sure it's because they would bounce around in the fog light opening. But when I put them into those blanks it keeps them really secure and haven't had a problem since. Also, you can do this without removing the bumper.
I'll have to take some pics when I get home tonight because I rode my bike to work.

You do not have to take the bumper off!! You can access everything from behind and under each fog light hole!
