Which way does the crush washer face?
Which way does the crush washer for an oil change face? Does the flat part or the rounded part of the crush washer go against the oil pan?

Doesn't really matter,I usually put the flat part against the pan and let the bolt do the crushing

I asked the same question on this forum a long time ago. Most people don't even change it. Most replies said the rounded part goes towards the oil pan, but when you remove it, you really can't tell which way it was in the first place.

i never change mine and never have any leaks, and i always tourqe to the 29 ft/lbs it says to in my manual.

So thats what that pack of crush washers is doing in my glove box.
 I didn't even use one last time i changed my oil. It's not leaking so i guess i'll wait another 3 months to change it.
