How do you remove the utility tray sliders?

Anybody have any idea how to get the sliding rails for the utility tray out of the bed?

Getting the tray out is easy, it's the sliders that don't seem possible. I would like to be able to put my ATV in the back without manuevering around/over the bolts on the sliders.

I had the same problem. Although it doesn't look obvious, the sliders are flexible. Bend it slightly and it will clear the tailgate.
