I experienced the water on the switches problem again this morning. My driver's side window had so much dew on it I had to roll it down to be able to see to pull out on the highway. As soon as I hit the down position of the switch and the window left the top seal-a huge amount of water went "splat" on my switches.

Yes, take them apart, coat the switch contacts with silicone dielectric grease, and then paint them with liquid electrical tape.
