I took my new Titan to a very popular beach today with my girlfriend and some friends. Everyone drives out onto the sand and parks their vehicles out in front of the water. Boy, and this place was just packed today, full of mainly custom trucks (its kind of a red neck hang-out) like Chevys, Dodges and Fords. But when I came creeping up there onto that beach and drove by all those people, the heads started turning. I could just hear people saying "Man, that truck is wicked!! What is it???!!". My girlfriend was wondering if everyone was staring at her. I told her she is very beautiful, but my Titan's got her beat....J/K Anyways, I had a lot of fun today with the truck, first time at the beach with. I'll get pics of it next time. Also the first time I tested out the 4WD and man did I tear up some sand dunes. It was hardcore! .........
I live about 2 1/2 to 3 hours south of you on the east coast. I take my Titan out in the sand on the coast too. But we can't cross the dunes where I go cause it's sea turtle nesting grounds. Massive fine if you drive across the dunes, but lots of beach trails on the inland side of the dunes. Have had 3 different Nissan 4x4's and they have always done good in beach sand. Here's some pics: http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...9633&members=1

Yes a blonde
Howie Kaluha, live just south of the Cocoa Beach / Kennedy Space Center area. I go to beaches in Brevard and Indian River county. I try to go to beaches with as few people as possible, getting harder to do. The fewer man made things I see from the beach the better. 4x4 helps leave the crowds behind pretty much.
Got Titan, my dog is a weimeraner. 3+ years old, about 85 lbs. Best dog/animal/pet I have ever owned. So loving, he thinks he's our son, and he is really. He won't let us out of his sight if he can help it. Feels like someone punched me in the stomach everytime I have to go to work and leave him on Mondays. Heres his album. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...166&uid=609633

Never been to cocoa beach, but I want to take a road trip there when I get out of school in two weeks.
Cocoa Beach is ok, be sure to go to "Coconuts On The Beach" an indoor/outdoor resteraunt/bar. Deck, outdoor bar, beach volleyball courts etc.... Also check out Ron Jon's surf shop (huge!), Port Canaveral (cruise ships, navy subs and ships, coast guard etc...) and the Cocoa Beach pier.
I pretty much stay south of all that. I go for the unspoiled, deserted beach thing. Daytona and other beaches like Cocoa Beach are nice but I've had my fill of drunken tourists and big crowds. I grew up on a beach where the only things you could see that were man made were shuttle launch pads, Canaveral National Seashore. So I tend to stay where can move without stepping on someone's trash or lit cigarette. Thats not to say I didn't do my fare share of spring breaking in those areas. Just prefer a place I can take my GF and dog and not have any hassles.

Yeah, I understand all o' that. I was thinking about taking a trip down to Key West in my Titan also...I have been there before--Disney Cruise. But I want to drive down there and haul some jet skis. Man, that'd be fun!
The Florida Keys rock! I worked on a dive boat one summer. Stayed in a house on stilts with water under it during high tide. Very fun summer. Your idea sounds like it will be fun too.
