New owner

Hello,

My new Titan XE 4X4 KC will arrive tomorrow night. They didn't have it on the lot Saturday when I signed so the sales manager gave me his Maxima for the rest of the weekend and is bringing my truck to my house. Great dealership- Key Nissan in Bluffton, SC. If any of you are looking in the area and want more details on them let me know.

Anyway, my question is on breaking in the truck. I want it to last as long as it should, so I know that certain things must be done and not done. What is the proper way to break it in? How long?

We are leaving for vacation on Wednesday morning and I REALLY want to drive the truck. Thanks.

The biggest things in my mind are...

1. Keep RPM's under 4k for the first 3k or so.
2. Vary the RPM's - Don't just get on a freeway and cruise at 70 for hours.
3. Change oil sometime in the first 1k miles, then again at 3k. Follow this every 3k afterwards.

Other than that, enjoy your trip!

Chris

4. Do not tow anything until you have several thousand miles on your Titan.
5. Drive like you have a raw egg between your foot and the gas pedal for the first few thousand miles.
