Tellico4x4 and Truxedo Cover

Some of you bought your Truxedo from Tellico4x4, how did it go? I haven't been too happy. First, it was hard to get a hold of the sale department to call to order. Once I placed the order, I couldn't get a track number from them even 5 days later. They kept telling they'd email me the track number when they get it but never did. I finally contacted the manufacturer and they were able to get me the UPS tracking number, nice people by the way. My Truxedo came bundled up in plastic wrap, no box. When I cut open the bundle, it looked used, the tracks and the foam had scratches but the clamps were still in the sealed bags. Worst of all, I ordered it in gray, not black...

I decided to install to see how it look in black and how it work. when I folded up the top, went past the second bar (from the gate), the top started to go off track to one side. After checking what caused the problem I found one velcro straps, that hold the second cross bar, on one side, were not sewn on in line with the other side's. This was when I realized that this had to be a returned unit from an unhappy customer and whoever shipped it to me was hoping that I wouldn't pay attention to this.

So I called them the next morning, before going on a vacation trip and they said they would email me the procedure for shipping back the wrong one when the new one is on its way. I am back from vacation today and find nothing in my mail box from them.

Oh, that same day that Truxedo gave me the UPS tracking number, I got the email from them, said it's shipped....except the tracking number they gave me was from Fedex and it went somewhere esle, not CA... whatever that meant....

Am I the only one with this experience?

Sorry for the rants...

I ordered mine from truck bed covers more than three weeks ago, and have yet to see it. I left several messages on the phone and so far nobody has bothered to call me back. Will give them another try today.

I know when I ordered mine a couple weeks ago the Titan part was on backorder... I just happen to get one because the rep had 2 in stock.

I don't quite follow the problems you had with the cover itself... mine came in a box in great shape.

Amati5,
That is unacceptable. I ordered mine from a different company, they said it would be shipped out from Trux. directly, it arrived 4 days later in a Trux box.

I would demand an explanation and if not acceptable a full reimbursement. Regarding the shipping back to said co. if they provide the wrong information how can this be your concern. Sure you need to get the product back to them but not at your expense. I would call your credit card co. & ask for a charge back & challenge this order. They did not perform, they have not returned E-mail, they have not provided correct shipping info. Mistakes happen but how a company responds to the issue is even more important.. I think it’s time to move on… Good luck.

I just called them today. They said they'll ship the gray one out. I have to ship the old one back and include the receipt so they can credit back the shipping charge. Will see what happen. thanks for your inputs.

Basically, because one of the velcro straps that hold one of the bar is on the wrong place, the bar is not perfectly parallel to the gate. So during folding up, one side sits higher than the other's.

I had a great experience with them. I dealt with a guy named Eric on the phone, and he was super responsive. He got me the part# of the one for the utili-track, and I got it a week later. I just installed it tonight, no problems at all! I was also impressed that I recieved several e-mails from tellico4x4 letting me know every step of the order process (ordered, invoiced, shipped, etc).
