Factory Order Timeline

I ordered my LE at the begining of March as was told I should expect it in late May or early June. I'm hoping they provide us with the worst case timing and then we'll be happy and thankful when it shows up before we expected it.

Just trying to be optimistic, I guess.

I ordered mine on Feb 7th - the order was placed that day.

I got the VIN call about a month later saying ETA was April 9th.

I called on the 2nd just to see if it came in early

Ended up getting it off the truck on the 9th - as promised

Well worth the wait!!

Your salesman is lieing to you unless he knows that he can do a dealer trade with another dealer that has the exact truck that you want.

Shaggy, my salesman told me straight out that they tell customers that the wait time is 90 days, even though they are coming in closer to 60-70. It's better to surprise a customer with an earlier delivery that p*ss them off with a late delivery. I can't say I blame them.

atc, I agree with NYTM, if you want a specific truck and ordered that exact truck in early April, THAT truck will be produced in May and delivered in June, no matter how much money you put down, etc. What may have happened is that they already ordered a truck that matched what you want in a prior month...

Yea I noticed on the printout he gave me the build date said May and delivery date June so I asked him about it and he said not to worry about that. Oh well...no biggie. I'll just have a bigger down payment than expected. LOL

I ordered mine around March 20th. I was told 90 days (although could be as early as 70).

I hope it takes 90 days, too. I'll be on crutches again until the end of June... It's gonna suck having a new truck and not being able to drive it...

Well, my order went in 3/5 and the salesman called yesterday saying that the VIN was posted. I have to call back to find out the estimated delivery date. BUT, I'm just happy the truck is being built!!!!!

Is there anyone else out there that ordered their truck early March? Do you have your VIN and/or est. del. date yet??

Hey titanjbc, Mine was ordered on 3/2. I spoke to my dealer on 4/19 and no VIN. He said he'd call when it was posted but I'll call him on Monday (4/26) to follow up. Maybe ours are next to each other in the production line
Let me know if you get a firm date. All I was told is that it's confirmed to be in WIP (work in progress) and the date is "sometime in May"

Hey NY, I'm going to call this afternoon. Hopefully the VIN and est. delivery date will be posted. The funny thing was I called the salesman on 4/16. He was off that day. I called back 4/20 in the afternoon. He said he was busy this weekend... blah, blah... big sales event... blah, blah; but he did check on my order and nothing had been posted. Then he calls back at 7pm and says, "oh, we just check again and it's posted". Was it checked the first time??

Well, either way I'll sound off if I know more this afternoon.

Just spoke to the salesman. Got the VIN as well as an estimated delivery date of May 21st. 29 days to go.

As others here have had happen, sometimes the delivery date moves up. One can only hope!!
