anyone use mother's clay to detail the titan?

If so, could you let me know how it went and how good the results were? Also, anyone have any wax brand suggestions? Any info is appreciated...

I see no reason why you should not use it.

Used properly - with lube - it will pull off surface contamination and leave the surface ready for polish and wax.

Go here, I learned a lot of good info http://www.properautocare.com/index.html

I used it as well. It's good stuff. I use a quick detailer for lube.

Don't need to use the whole bar.

I use the Zaino kit. It has a clay bar in it. It's a little expensive and time consuming on the amount of steps you have to take, but the finished product is something to admire.

For lube all you need to do is mix up some soapy water. Just take some car soap add about a half a cap full to an empty spray bottle and viola instant lube. You will need to wash your Titan after you clay bar it, and then put on a good coat of wax after the wash.

Cool

Meguiar's NXT produces a REALLY high gloss. It's a synthetic that goes smoothly and seems to have pretty good durability. It’s absolutely incredible on dark colors, especially black. I am quite the wax guy; in fact I think it boarders on a wax fetish. I’m always trying something new. I've tried the expensive ones and the cheap ones. So far, this has produced the best and deepest shine that I have found. The cost is reasonable as well. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

thanks for the info. I just waxed up the truck with Mother's carnuba and it really works. I'm going to end up claying the truck here pretty soon though. Thank ya'll again.

You are going to have to rewax after you use your claybar since the clay will remove your existing wax.

It's O.K., he needed the practice. Wax-On Wax-Off

I just bought the Mother's clay bar today and I'll be using it this weekend. I've got three vehicles to use it on, so I hope it works. I was surprised at how small it was. I was expecting it to be about the size of a bar of soap. Unfortunately, it's only about 1/4 as big. I'll post my results later.
