Hiya Fella's,
Well I just returned on Wednesday from a quick trip from Minnesota to Colorado to pickup a 1953 Studebaker truck I bought. I have a King Cab with Off Road and Big Tow package's. I headed out after my 1500 mile oil change and boy does this thing hold some oil "A GOOD THING" even though the oil filter could be a little bigger. It was a 2140 mile round trip and I have to say the truck rode good on all the roads, braking on the truck and through the controller for the trailer I installed worked excellent. My mileage was not good, I average 11-12 MPG on the way out and 9-10 MPG on the way back loaded. I will admit the damn wind fought me both ways which does not help the mileage. I honestly feel it could use lower gears "3:73 or 4:10" in the rearend. I actually had it kick out of cruise on some of the hills when it would lug down to much and I was pulling in fourth gear. I did use my tow mode and that does help but I was also pulling a trailer with a truck on it at 80 MPH as I was in a hurry to get home. I finally got to use my air conditioning and it worked fine. One thing that I thought was wierd and even a little scary was that I never seen another Titan on the road in all them miles. I never even seen an Armada. Am I the only one between here and Colorado with a Titan? I had a few people question me about it though. So far I have no complaints with the truck. I am at 3455 miles and my only problem has been it blew a little gear oil out the rearend vent on the way out west but after I wiped it off the axle housing I never seen it on there again so it must of had a little too much in it. I will keep in touch and let you guys know how things are going. Later
