Well, I thought I'd better test drive one before I sold my van, so went to the local dealer today and took one for a spin. When I arrived a salesman or manager came out and said they were under staffed today and asked if I had any questions. I told him who I talked to on the phone (about 2 weeks ago) but he was not there today. He said he would get someone to assist me. After waiting a few minutes a salesman came out. I told him what I was looking for...and that I saw that they had one online, and was wondering if they still had it. As it turn out they did! Exactly what I want...Silver CC LE, DVD, Sunroof, Navi, big tow, 4x2. He said it was on another lot, so we waited about 10 minutes for them to bring it out. To my suprise, he copied my DL and said enjoy...It was just the wife and I on the test drive, a first for me. Well, I noticed everything that you all have pointed out on this forum...good & bad. That beast definately has the power you all describe. It drove smooth and quiet, more so than I would have thought, not too much louder than my friends F150 Lariat. The bad things I noticed were the stereo (of course), the slight rattle around the gage panel, kinda odd for only a truck with only 42 mi. on it, yikes! I also notice the AC noise after/during acceleration. Is Nissan workin on a fix for it? Also, I noticed (only once) while taking off from a stop, the truck seemed to jump off the line, a little, is this normal? The other times it seemed pretty smooth. Maybe I was being too aggressive . Other than these minor issues it seemd pretty solid, and is most likely my 1st choice! Now my only problem is, do I wait and try to sell my van, or trade it in for about 2-3K less? It has been for sale for 3 weeks and I've had ~8 people call and a few come to look at it..but no takers! I hope the one I drove stays on the lot for a while as it is exactly what I want.
Are you in Northern or Southern CA? Reason I ask is, don't fret too much about it disappearing. I was just doing my normal 'check' of the www.mossy.com site and they have over 240 on the lot. Pretty good odds your truck is there as well :-)
What kind of van are you selling? PM me the data on it. I think my In-laws are looking for one.

I brought my truck up to the dealer a couple of weeks ago and mentioned the AC noise thing. the service manager there said he hadn't heard anything about it....it doesn't really bother me, just curious if it can be "shut up". let me know if you guys hear about anything goin on with the AC noise. thanks.
BTW, very happy you enjoyed the test drive..I remember when i first test drove the titan--I didn't want to get out of the truck..hehe I was about to cry
As far as jumping off the line...yes, the Titan has the drive by wire throttle and it is very sensitive. Sometimes maybe just a little TOO sensitive. While holding a steady speed driving, if you hit bumps sometimes you will give the truck gas, unintentionally. After you drive it for awhile you will get used to the sensitive throttle.

Chris
Southern, it was Mossy El Cajon. It is the only one that is exactly what I want. It has been on the lot for about a month though. All the others out of the 240 they have either have no Navi, or sand interior. Hopefully it hangs around for a while longer I'd hate to loose 2-3k by trading in.
Oh yeah...Is it normal for Mossy to let you test drive without the salesman tagging along? That was kinda cool!
I got my truck from mossy nissan in el cajon. When i test drove it i was with the salesman though. Once you test drive it, it's like you have to have it, there is no going back.

Yes, I see that now. Maybe I should have waited LOL
