Should I wait, or Should I buy?

I have been seriously researching the Titan for the past two weeks. I live in the Houston area and I have taken three test drives, got a couple of quotes from different dealers. The question I have is, should I wait until the 2005s start coming in or should I go ahead and start the buying process? I am kind of curious if there will be any changes to the Titan before next year? Also, any tips to buying would be greatly appreciated.

I am in the exact situation as you and I even live in Houston too!!! I have driven some but have not found the one that I am looking for yet. Initially I thought I would wait for the 2005 model, but I sold my suv really fast and I am in need of transportation pretty soon. What dealers have you gone to? What kind of prices are they gving you?

I am thinking of heading over to Robbins Nissan or Baker Jackson to see what they have. It is hard finding the truck that resembles the one that you want, even though dealers around here seem to have a pretty good selection when compared to some of the dealers up north.

I am not sure as to the changes on the 2005 models, but I know I can't wait that long. Maybe some else will chime in as to the possible changes that it will have.

I don't know what to expect from the 2005 model but the dealers are working with most buyers in most markets about price and it's my thought that they are already selling for way less then they are worth. So.. pick a color and get in at "the ground level price" because I can see the price going up once everyone understands the value you get with a Titan. I am sure the price won't go up much but I have a feeling that the dealers are setting up there allocations for next year so they need to move some product.

I don't believe there are any major changes coming that are going to be 'BIG'. As it is a brand new truck, most lines if you notice don't change 'Big' things until another 4-5 years. Small changes yes, but nothing big I am pretty sure.

With thier desire to get more trucks on the road and get some reliability reporting/confidence under them. Now until the end of this model year should be pretty ripe for some great deals.

We are right at 10k on ours and we seriously could not be happier with our decision.

Chris

Ben,
My advice is to do what I will do; try everyone! I just went to Mossy Nissan on I-10 and they have several trucks. I imagine that you might be able to find one you like over there. I have also been to Baker Jackson North as well, but I am just going to get all the stuff I can in hand and then spend a few weeks really wearing the sales guys out.

Thanks for all the responses!

I live in Houston and I got the best deal at Tom Pea****. There is a guy there Robert Kuntz that was a great sales guy. If you go there tell him Dan Belcher sent you - He goes the extra mile. I will not use them for service anymore though. I sent it in for a paint blemish and so far been jerked around for 2.5 weeks. I am trying to find the contact at Nissan to address these issues. I have only had the truck for a month and most of the time it has been there.
