Is there a fix for the brake problem yet?

I just came back from my dealer where I test drove a KC LE. The brake pedal on this truck would go all the way to the floor. The truck would stop, but I doubt it would do much in an emergency brake slam situation. I think I read somewhere on this board that other have experienced the same problem. Is there a fix yet? I told the salesman to have it checked out before he let anyone else test drive it.

Hello Jerseydirt,

Not to diminish the few reported concerns but if a true issue exists this is a huge RedFlager that would be TSB’d & recalled pronto. One member that I know of did have a bad master cylinder but this seems isolated & few have suggested mushy brakes that perhaps could be remedied with a simple bleeding. You absolutely did the right thing by bringing this to the salesman’s attention. My pedal offers expected resistance & stop plenty short of the restor stop. I have had the opportunity to stop suddenly & it stops very well & full application is somewhere beyond midway action.
