Please don't miss the point! Of course everyone realizes this is a concept.
Just like we did when @-T (Alpha-T to be more specific) was introduced.
The idea here was to introduce the "direction" Toyota is taking with it's full sized truck(with emphasis on "Hybrid").
When I started this thread, the intention was basically food for thought.
In the meantime, as I continue researching the Toyota(our competition) news, the most interesting parts will be posted.
2004 Titan SE CC 4X2, Built 11-15-2003
Purchased 12-12-03
Galaxy Black, Popular SE pkg, Capt. chairs/gated shifter, Factory Fog lights, UtiliTrac/Bedliner pkg,PRG Leveling Kit Front and Rear
It resembles the Hummer truck the H3T that is due out next year. I was contemplating that thing in my garage until I camr to my senses and bought the here and now. As far as gas prices wagging the dog I think market forces will always dictate the price. We may have to pay more but it will always be affordable...relatively. But don't hold me to it
I read similar stuff on that Tundra, but my recent Popular Mechanics said that the likelihood of the Tundra being made in that form is small. As for the power, I have no idea, but remember that the Titan initial power ratings were 335HP until 87 octane requirements brought it down to 305"+"HP. They hybrid option is keying my interest, but not until the technology is out of its first generation existence. Plausible purchasing of a hybrid is still 2-4 model years away yet in my mind. I actually am waiting for the Cold Fusion powered automobile. Fill up with tap water and go! Better yet, get more realistic and go with the normal fusion powered automobile like "Mr. Fusion" in Back to the Future 2!
Doc Brown: (rummaging through the garbage and finding a banana peel and a half-empty can of coke) "I need fuel!"
Tell them not to bother, that thing is FUUUUUUGLY! Toyota's are great trucks but even the most loyal fan can drive that! Besides all of those options say one thing $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I have to admit, when I saw the Titan "rolling chassy" (no motor/trani) at SuperCross in San Diego early last year, I thought it was FUUUGGLY too, but here I am. It grew on me.

Concepts change, that is the point. The Alpha T was put in front of test markets and panels of experts and consultants including many consumers. Body lines were shaved, features scrapped, some things enhanced, some things deleted. You are supposed to assume the things that are liked stay, the things that aren't will go. What you end up with is the next model year's design.
mmmmmmmmm amazing seeing how ya'll own the most UGLY truck ever made. Glad I own a I-force Tundra 2004
I don't think my Titan is the most UGLY truck ever made. I'll take your statement as a compliment however. Ugly is "in". Take notice of the Toyota Scion and Honda Element as well as other cars that are on the drawing boards.
