That must be why traffic is so slow.

F-150 279,187-----THESE people are crazy for buying an expensive, less than truck

Dodge Ram 136,129---watch out for the ball joints and stops to the gas station--and the back is waaay too small

Dodge Dakota 34,544---even worse than the ram

Toyota Tundra 32,613--I can understand this, even though the engine are too small--they are still reliable to all heck

Titan 19,475---wow I cant believe this number is soo small as I get soo many compliments from other truck owners

GM --nice but way too expensive

I wonder how much of that is "fleet" sales...

Titan will certainly jump into that market when the word spreads more about the comfortable ride.

hahaha, thats my laugh of the day. TITAN sales will pick up, in my opinion nissan has done a poor job of promoting the TITAN, but i hear they are gonna pick up the slack soon with some big ad blitz. yesterday during the laker game i saw a ton of TITAN commercials, hopefully nissan will keep this us.

So much for the concerns about slow Titan sales? They predicted 100,000 trucks the first year, and they are at 20% of the goal 25% of the way through the year with the sales increasing each month.

What I find interesting is how close (relatively) they Titan is to the Tundra, and established brand.

I see a lot more Titan ads on the internet the last month or so.
I just purchase the XE this past weekend and yesterday a number of coworkers asked me to take them out for a ride. I said yes each time because I enjoy driving it so much. Each person that rode in just kept saying, "This is a nice ride".

The more people who ride in a Titan the more will be convinced that this truck is for real.

The total numbers are just amazing, look at this overall report for 2003.
1. Ford F-Series (includes F-150, F-150 Heritage, F-150 SVT Lightning, F-250 and F-350) — 845,586
2. Chevrolet Silverado (includes 1500, 1500 SS, 2500, 2500HD and 3500) — 684,302
3. Dodge Ram (includes 1500, 1500 SRT-10, 2500 and 3500) — 449,371
4. Toyota Camry and Camry Solara — 413,296
5. Honda Accord — 397,750
6. Ford Explorer and Explorer Sport Trac — 373,118
7. Ford Taurus — 300,496
8. Honda Civic — 299,672
9. Chevrolet Impala — 267,882
10. Chevrolet TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT — 261,334

If you total up just the pickups you are looking at 1,979,259 units. So if Toyota sold just 20,741 Tundras last year that means over 2 million trucks were sold, and we are not talking SUVs, they would be in addition...

Is GMC figured into those Chevy numbers?

Based upon the description I would say GMC is not included.

Those sales figures are for four months, Jan - Apr (first quarter ended in March). So if Titan sales were forecast at 100,000, and they've sold 20,000 in four months, then Nissan will sell 60,000 at this rate, running about 40,000 behind projection. Come on, get out there and buy some more, and help Nissan make some numbers. Is this why you can find prices at invoice or below??
