Warranty Coverage

Does anyone know if the Gold Prefered plan covers that Navi unit? I know it does not cover the DVD, and it also says "any and all communication devices". I'm not sure if the Navi is considered a communication device or not!

Anyone? Reason I ask is because I got the Gold Preffered 6/100k (not 7) for 1650. After looking at Warrantydirect, I could get the bumper to bumper 7/100k for 1000-1200. But it expressly says no Navi coverage.

I am pretty sure it does. I got this the Gold Preferred and was told it covered everything electronic and the Nav and DVD system are indeed electronic. I got mine for 7/100K for around 1500.

California plan my be different, but section 8.2 - "any and all in-vehicle communications systems and/or mobile entertainment systems" So the DVD is not covered. I have attached a sample from the California Prefered Gold Services. They probably consider DVD a communication device...guess I should call, because I am not sure the dealer actually knows for sure...they will say anything!

That price is cost, so you got a good deal. I take if you have the 50.00 deductible plan. Keep in mind that when and if you have to use it, you are paying a 50.00 deductible per line item on the repair order (if the problem is covered) I am a former Nissan Service Mgr, Now working for BMW. or should I say BMTroubleyou. I'm still waiting for my Smoke KC, ordered it 3.1.04, est drop date is 5.25.04. I ordered Fosgate, Offroad, Big Tow, Utility Bed, and Air Bag Pkgs. I cannot wait to get my hands on the truck. Will be using it to take my R1 back and forth from racetrack.

Just called the 1-800 number to ask about coverage. I was told that they just "adjusted" the coverages. The DVD mobile entertainment IS now covered by the Gold Preffered plan, but the navigation system is not covered under any plan...and it never has been. Just for kicks I called a local dealer, and he said it is all covered...DVD & NAVI, or any electrical device installed at the factory or dealership. Yeah OK, guess they will say anything.
