Hey guys.. how does this look? (JUST a prelim. to take to vinyl shop Monday...)
I think I found the a very close font to the "TITAN" emblem on tailgate.
In Microsoft Word, the font was Verdana.
Thought it would be nice to emphasize the "titan" so that font size is 90 and the "talk.com" is 72, the "titantalk" part is bolded and the ".com" is not bolded.

It has been suggested to use the same logo as the website (at the top of the page) but I'm not sure how it will look WITHOUT color and the reflection. This will be expensive for the colors and VERY hard to reproduce the depth/reflection on the silver using vinyl. Obviously, I opted not to use the website's logo because of these aspects.

The Word document is very simple, can easily make a black or white vinyl for dark and light color trucks.

Printed out, the biggest I could get on a sheet of paper was about 10" long. I would like to make it a bit bigger, maybe 11"-12" long, so its easily visible on the road. It would only be about 1"-1.5" tall.. I think..

[update] People have said "No .com" but I can't think of anything else very obvious to show that the vinyl is referring to a website. I certainly don't want a "WWW."

The original post was for a way to allow fellow forum members to recognize each other out in the wild. I agree with most of the posts and particularly like CaliforniaTitan's idea about a simple "TITAN" sticker in the back side wiindows that all members could use to identify each other. Simple enough, you see a Titan....you look at the rear side windows....there you go. You say you are not advocating advertising the site itself, but that I am somehow working AGAINST the site and it's members. I don't have any problem advertising the site but with the goal of a small and tasteful sticker, it may be precluded. I hope this is clear and we can come up with something all will like. I love my truck and enjoy talking about it and I enjoy this site very much. Let's just have fun and spread the word about Titans.

Thank you for taking the time to help me understand, i get a much better view of what your trying to say. Id like point out that no one is advocating advertising the site (although it would be great to do for ekool). I was trying to say that anyone including people not involved with the site may put "titan" in that location being that it is a very popular place for stickers. When implying that it should in some way somewhere say titantalk.com would indicate that person is a fellow member and not just someone that put a "titan" sticker on their truck. We love the truck and would love to come in contact with other members on the road. And i do agree with you on the subject of a design we all love like i mentioned to cali titan in previous reply.Btw me saying that im working for the members is in no way saying that you are working agaisnt it, if you were you wouldnt be a member with 21 active posts and contributing to this thread. So please dont look into things to much. If i was saying that i would have been direct and said it. Just have fun.

I would go for something like this idea. Maybe in chrome? It would show up great on the dark tint on the back window and/or the side windows.

Same here....that would nicely blend with what I have especially with the chrome. As it is 'simple' in design I also think the place where I got my other could set up for that easily as well. They do other colors to..

I like it.

I actually like Fishhead's design too.....nice and small for the rear window. or two on the rear side windows.

And I dont see why the owner of the site would pay for us to have stickers. He is lucky to have a sponser already and as the Titan popularity grows so will his site. With that growth will come more expenses on his part by keeping the site up to a par. Once too many people get on then several things happen. site quality goes down as old members ignore new members same old questions. then lag time starts growing. Some vehicle forumns like this make you pay to be a member to start with and then some just ask for donations. Before my Titan I owned a Maxima and am still a member of Maxima.org. They sell the vinyl stickers themselves along with a bunch of other advertising goodies (shirts, hats, key chains, mouse pads, etc) that they use any profit off of to upgrade their servers often and keep up the bandwidth. That site has THOUSANDS of members as it would be neat to see this site grow but I hope the same thing doesnt happen here as did over there!!

anyway off my soapbox now and I would be glad to buy a sticker from whomever gets them setup and made!!

Here's another with a different font for the domain. I like this one better.

I like the second one by Fish-Head. As BigRedTitan said, a nice reflective coating on the rear window would definately stand out nicely.

It doesn't have to be oval either. It could just be the "TT" part and the domain underneath.

Agreed, I would go for a license plate frame but don't really like the idea of putting a sticker on my new truck. I like the idea of the static type sticker but putting this on the outside of the window just won't last. And on the inside will not be visible through the tint. I also agree with the idea of buying them from the site to assist ekool in some small way for this great site.

TitanTalk decals...
