If it is national forest, target shooting is allowed in the Nat. Forest areas.

Re: Colorado Titans

I though there was a dedicated range out on this north end somewhere. I dunno, I'm the new guy around here, but I swear I've seen something about it.

Edit to add: Looks like it was permanently closed.

Re: Colorado Titans

Rampart Range Road? Runs from the Springs all the way up here to just north and west of the Rock.

What level of off roading?
Sounds great
I'm for sure looking to have fun but my truck won't be rock crawling
What's the terrain like?

Re: Colorado Titans

The whole road can reportedly be driven without a 4wd, but I don't know if that's what they're talking about. Just making the whole route is day trip in itself. My truck's a street queen, so I'm not keen on the idea of beating on it too much, either.

I know about half way from Woodland Park to the county line road, there's a shooting range just off of the road (on right as going north).

It's primarily just trails, but certain stretches could get icey depending on weather.

Re: Colorado Titans

FWIW, I've been down most of Rampart Range Road. Here is a write-up I did in 2007 when I tried one of the trails that branches off of Rampart Range Road: Aborted Off-road Adventure - Nissan Titan Forum: Club Titan Forums. I would like to attempt it again, but this time with another vehicle along.

«Granite '07 LE Crew Cab, 4x4, Big Tow, Off-Road, Side Curtain Airbags, Sunroof»
«ClearBra, Leer 100XQ, MM SI9500 Winch, 18" Magnaflow, Berk b-pipes, Volant PowerCore, AMSoil bumper to bumper, Uprev tuned»
«SAW Coilovers and rear shocks, PRG upper control arms and shackles, Hellwig rear sway bar»
