Not quite full?

Evertime I fill Up my gas tank, the gauge reads JUST shy of full. Other vehicle used to go above the full mark, mt Titan just doesn't quite reach the Full line (always just a tad short). The first quarter tank seems to go quickest.

Anybody elses like this? Or is mine faulty?

Thanks

Joe

Mine hits the F mark...but, yes the first 1/4 drops very quickly..A good thing the last 1/4 is slow.

Thanks, maybe there is something wrong with mine. I thought I remember reading somewhere about Armadas having some fuel sensor replaced because they never read full?

I notice on mine that it reads just below the F and usually it is below a 1/4 tank even with 8-10 gallons left. I was going to mention it during my first service which is thursday

This may be by design so they don't have to listen to alot of people whining about running out of gas. Mine is also that way. It is a good idea not to run it way down before you fill as this invites condensate and also you can suck up any debris that settles to the bottom of the tank.

I had a sensor replaced in one of my Frontiers (99) because it never would read more than 1/2 full. Just started doing it one day for no reason. Took about an hour to fix, they had to drop the tank, and I had to bring it in with very little gas in it.

When I fill mine, it's just a little over the F, but it goes down to 3/4 very fast. I always try to fill up at 1/4 or a little lower, and I've never put more than 20 gallons in. So there should be 8 more in there even when it's a tad under 1/4.

Are you topping it off?

If you see a picture of the titan frame without the body, the fuel tank is very long but has a part that sticks up. So the top of the tank is very small, the bottom is very big. Saw it at the autoshow, made me realize why the first 1/4 goes so quick, because it's not a quarter.
