big tow pkg sucks the gas!!!!!!!!

i switched from a fully loaded le cc 4 x 2 - nav to a base model xe cc 4 x 2
with 3.73 rear axle instead of 4,10 in the big tow plus it was 10k less!
add my own accessories for that!!!!!!

I think the Big Tow option is a good deal for the $ if you are going to be towing heavy. I am however beginning to see the wisdom, with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight, of going with the base model and adding aftermarket audio, DVD & NAV, as I think you can definitely get alot more for your money going aftermarket for those items.

u can build it the way YOU want and not have to buy into a pkg. like the le is awesome but it is really pricy too!
u get what u pay for and all i really want / need is a titan cc xe 4 X 2.
the one i'm looking at now is radiant silver / graphite / titanium and it has the xe pref pkg and floormats and bedliner and bed extender.
msrp is 27,170 and they have it on sale for 4k off msrp
23,170 plus 279 doc fee and 10 temp tag.
best deal on an xe i've seen so far!
4,000 off on any titan or armada in stock.
some of them have a markup pkg of wheel locks, hood protector and sealant for 244.00.
they also had 3.5% / 72 months on the titan !!!!!

And then you can ditch the crappy head unit and not have to worry about integrating with factory NAV & DVD.

As one example, I was looking at this head unit, it has built in XM:

http://www.alpine-usa.com/products/l...cda-9820xm.htm

$288 at:

http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_...s.jsp?cid=7416

Maybe you need to get the one with the optional AUX input, but the base model is listed at only $288, which is about the same as Nissan's OEM XM receiver alone!! And I would assume that the FM reception is way better, too!! Then you add Alpine Changer and suitable amp(s) & speakers and I think you have a better than RF system for less $.

I am not expert at car audio, but this looks like a way better deal than Nissan RF audio. I just ordered Nissan OEM XM Receiver for about $300 to integrate with RF. I am feeling very stupid for getting factory RF + DVD + NAV !!

I don't know if that particular Alpine is suitable or not, but they will probably have more models with integrated XM coming out soon.

Did you see the post about the 2 Din Nissan dash plate? I think the dimples are because they use the same part on the Armada with the Driver/Passenger climate controls.

i spent about 12k on a nice system for my 1995 kingcab hardbody and i took it out and it is just collecting dust in my bedroom. maybe i can put it in the new titan.
i have everything exc. the sony xm tuner i gave it to the guy who bought my nissan p/u.
it is a xplod head unti and is also xm ready.
i have 2 pr of audiobahn comp speakers, 2 a/d/s amps and subs, everything exc an xm tuner i will need to purchase and a box for the subs and the wiring and pay for labor too.
it adds up to a spending lot of money!!!!
AGAIN!!

I for one have an RF and DVD that provide excellent audio. I realize, at least with these components, that I am fortunate. The audio reproduction of these units when they work, as they do in my Titan, is steller. When my kids put in a DVD such as "Lord of the Rings", it sounds like I am in the middle of the orchan hoards. Very realistic. I will continue to lobby Nissan however, on behalf of others whose system is not functioning as it should.

I agree slick. I would also add that I'm not one to keep my stereo "factory" for long. How I looked at it was that I was getting the DVD & Navi integrated! Although this could be done aftermarket, it is by no means cheap either. Plus there is the issue with installers pulling things apart and cutting things! I basically paid the $1800 for this integration. If I did change out the stereo, a good installer can hook up the steering controls ($$). Other things that were important were: Trip computer, Tire pressure monitoring, Electronic adjustment of the vehicle systems (i.e. keyless entry control, memory seat control...). So far I don't have the raido issues. FM reception is just OK, but it's not mono. Aux input sounds fine, and CD/DVD sounds great. My only complaint so far with the audio is the somewhat weak subwoofer. It's more like a base shaker (vibrator )then a speaker. That may be my first upgrade, especially since I have a pair of 8" Orions in my garage collecting dust.

I'm going to start trying to get serious about buying an XE 4 x 2 cc radiant silver with graphite / titanium with xe pref pkg, floor mats and bedliner today.
msrp is 27,170 they have an ad for 4k off every titan in stock so i am going to drive over 100 miles one way to check it out tonight.
they also have 38 titans in stock!
more than anyone else in my area!!
