Brake Controller

Anybody out there installed a brake controller on a LE? Where did you place it? The console eats up all the normal space and the glovebox is in the way on the passenger side.

Which kind did you get? I ask because some need to be very near the brake pedal. I have a Prodigy that I put just to the right of the steering wheel on the bottom of the dash trim piece. You will need it to be in easy reach for adjustments and panic stops / trailer sway.

What are you towing?

I've got a Prodigy also in my Armada towing a car trailer w/Jeep
MyRig

Your TT won't change much in weight so that you will not need to adjust the boost after you get things set up. You should have seen the cars around me at a stop light when i locked up my empty trailer The Titan's harness connector is to the right of the sterring column (the armada is on the left btw) The factory connector is long plus the Prodigy connector is also long so you can basically mount the prodigy anywhere

except you can't mount it vertical, max is 70degrees. You will not use the illumination wire on the Titan harness. The dial on the top left of the Prodigy comes from the factory at full. You need to connect the trailer, move the lever manually all the way to the left and then adjust the dial so the display reads 6.0

The directions are simple once you see the unit.
Your using a Weight-Distribution Hitch correct?

You can't put it on the passenger side as you need to adjust it. And even if you don't, some day you may need to hit the panic button, or the panic release. I agree though, you figure they would have a spot for all the crap we carry and all they do is add more freaking cup holders....geez.

Thanks Chris, sounds like you've got it all figured out for me. I'll hook it up as per your advice. And yes, I do use a weight distribution hitch. I was towing with a 6.8L F250 before, but just wasn't happy with the truck.

Gened,
Do a search, I know there's a great thread complete with pictures.
Would be great to have a Towing section in this forum.
