So if you turn the truck on during the day, the low beams automatically come on, but with the normal current reduced by 24%, and at night the photocell causes it to go to 100%?

Are you sure you can't just get a relay from Nissan and plug it into the relay box under the hood to get DTR? Or do the Canadian models have a completely different wiring setup?

I Contacted Nissan USA And Was Told It Was Not Available As An Accesory In USA And Couldn't Get It. There Are Some Differences In USA & Canadian Including The Dash Mounted Sensor For The Auto Headlight System.

PS HOPE YOU LIKE YOUR ARE CAP. MINE CAME IN CRACKED. THEY SENT IT BACK AND INSTEAD OFF SENDING A NEW ONE THEY HALF A** REPAIRED IT AND SENT IT BACK. THEY GROUND 1/2 INCH OFF PASSENGER SIDE FRONT CORNER PUT SOME YELLOW RESIN ON IT WHICH BLEED BACK THRU THE WHITE PAINT AND ALMOST GLUED THE TRIM BACK ON WITH BULGES AND EPOXY DRIPING DOWN IT. ASIDE FROM THAT IT WOULD BIND ON RIGHT SIDE (HAD TO SHOVE TO THE RIGHT TO GET IT TO OPEN, SO I MEASURED IT FROM THE HINGES BACK ON THE INSIDE AND IT WAS 1 INCH SHORTER ON THE RIGHT THAN THE LEFT. I GOT MY MONEY BACK, STILL NO OFFER TO REPLACE PLUS THEY DENTED MY HOOD BECAUSE THEY RELEASED IT FOR THE PARKING BRAKE.

This was the A.R.E. Z series cap? Wow, that doesn't sound good at all. They have a pretty good reputation from what I've heard.

Thanks greg,

Let us know how it goes. I have an LE with the Auto headlights, do you? The engine compartment wiring harnes is different for the canadian model, thus there is no place to put the required relay.

I Just Installed The Dtrl From Hamsar, (model 45070). I Ordered It From Puma & Got It The Next Day With Ups Ground, Wow Good Service!!!!!

Install Is Easy Once You Know How But Took A Long Time With Voltmeter To Find Wiring To Use Because Titan Fuse Boxes, Each Light Has A Separate Fuse. Have One Problem To Figure Out Yet ... My Dash Lights Don't Come On When Drl Switches To Regular Headlights At Dusk. Oddly The Radio Lights Dim But No Instrument Panel. I Have Been Unable To Even Find The Fuse For Instrument Lights, Called Dealer And Was Told It Was The Fuse Marke As Illuminaton But This For Front Marker/parking Lights. I Pulled Every Fuse In Every Box With Wife Watching Dash & Regular Light Switch Turned On. The Lights Never Went Out???

The System Wires Parrallel So Your Original Headlight System Works Same As Before Including Auto System On My Le, Which You Can Leave On To Get Instrument Lights At Dusk.

I Only Blew One Fuse And Killed My Battery In The Process. Next I'm Going To Wire Door Locks To Parking Brake. May Have To Leave Through Window If Fails Or Just Watch A Dvd Until Someone Changes A Fuse Under Hood.

Did you ever get the dash lights to work. Why the 70 and not the 30? Don't they do the same thing?

Re: 3 Drl Modules From Hamsar

I am not familiar with these. Are u saying that these lights are installed because they work like daytime running lights? Reduced output?

If that's the case, save your money and I can give you the mod to make your lights stay on during the day automatically. If I have the wrong idea, sorry....

Re: 3 Drl Modules From Hamsar

Well I finally pulled the trigger on a 2005 Titan LE. Very nice truck!!! Want to put in the DRL's. Hamsar has specs for the 2006, but not 2005. Anyone know if the wiring is the same between 05 and 06? Ideally I would like to have the low beams on at a reduced voltage.

Appreciate any info. This is a US model.

Re: 3 Drl Modules From Hamsar

For any Canadians (or Americans) looking for a great Daytime Running Light kit to put on a US model, I found a really decent one.

NAPA/Echlin sells a kit, part number AHL102, for about $75.00. A little on the high side for cost, but what a clean and easy install on the Titan. It's the low voltage type which I wanted, and works very well. Has an inline micro fuse too. Great kit, easy install, what more could you want. Highly recommended.
