'But as we all know, tow ratings are like horsepower figures — they make for great bragging rights but what really matters is how well the vehicle performs in real-world testing. The F-150's higher tow rating didn't stop the Titan from cleaning the Ford's clock when it was time to pull 6,000 pounds through the quarter-mile and up a steep highway pass.'
I feel good

Damn man, now you got me leaning towards the Titan again. I'm actin like a real woman right now - can't make up my mind. Luckily, I don't have to for a few months. I hate readin stuff like this though, Titan really kicked some ***. Then again, readin about the Ram comin in 2nd place, I'm not too convinced. Damn, what a woman I am!!
2004 Titan SE CC 4X2, Built 11-15-2003
Purchased 12-12-03
Galaxy Black, Popular SE pkg, Capt. chairs/gated shifter, Factory Fog lights, UtiliTrac/Bedliner pkg,PRG Leveling Kit Front and Rear
But what they say about the back seat is very true. If you plan to carry passengers in the back, Titan is the way to go. I'm 6'5'', and I have enough legroom in the back, even with the front seat all the way back. Also, the rear seatback isn't as vertical as the Dodge's.

Titan wins. Interesting review of the Tundra though. They say the Tundra is more like a car with an open bed, V8, etc and that it can't perform under heavy loads llike a true full-size, but they don't back it up. I am interested in this because this is something diehard Domestic owners frequently say about all imports, i.e., "it can't work", "it ain't heavy duty", etc.

I feel good [/QUO I TITAN does it again you know its funny how all these test have been completed and the dodge ford and chevy girls still think their the best i guess its denial or something
people always rave about the f-150 interior, but...
"Although the top-of-the-line models look like a luxury car inside, the F-150 XLT looks more like your typical pickup with its gray plastic trim and column shifter."
I had the exact same opinion when testing the F-150. Also consider the anemic 4.6L engine that is standard. Even the Tundra's 4.7L is better than that POS.
Components: The optional Rockford Fosgate sound system consists of an in-dash six-disc CD changer, 350-watt amplifier and 10 speakers sprinkled throughout the massive cabin. The dash-mounted tweeters fire straight up and off the windshield, while the subwoofer resides under the driver seat for maximum effect. The head unit features a well-spaced layout, good-sized controls and useful steering wheel satellite controls that make quick changes easy. This is a straightforward system that requires little or no familiarization in order to find what you're looking for.
Performance: This system attacks you with a wall of sound that will satisfy even the most power-hungry customers. With plenty of juice to spare, the Rockford system can be cranked up to headache-inducing levels without ever clipping stuff off the top. The subwoofer thumps out only the lowest of the low frequencies, so those not used to "real" bass might find it a bit disconcerting at first. The three dash-mounted tweeters don't produce as accurate a sound stage as their A-pillar-mounted counterparts, but the overall sound is still well above average for a full-size truck.
Best Feature: More power than your ears can handle.
Worst Feature: Rockford Fosgate system only available as part of a $1,700 option package.
Conclusion: A powerful, well-rounded system that will only lose points with the most discerning audiophiles.
Just read the truck review again, and it's almost embarrassing how much they rave about the Titan. Nissan's marketing department should have a field day with this stuff:
'...this was the story of a truck that was built to beat the domestics at their own game and succeeded.'
"After years of driving trucks designed to feel like cars, the Titan reminds you of what a real truck is supposed to feel like."
'After back-to-back testing, there's no doubt that the Titan often exceeds its peers when it comes to delivering big truck power, real-world capability and everyday comfort. It may not have traditional looks, 17 different trim levels or a long-standing heritage as an American icon, but if you're looking for the most capable half-ton pickup on the market, the Titan is your truck.'
They couldn't have been more positive if Nissan had paid them...
I was a little surprised about one of the comments they had on the Ford: 'Most praised the F-150 for its modern design and spacious layout'. Spacious in the front maybe, but not in the back. Ford has a nice cab, but it isn't nearly as roomy as the Titan's.

Although I agree the review was good, they usually send a 'ringer' truck for these reviews anyway.
About two months ago I left feedback on their customer review portion about how bad the radio was. For some reason they never posted it. Kinda makes me wonder if they are filtering the postings before the public sees them.
Kinda gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
Especially after reading what I already knew, that the TITAN was the best.
come on trojandan, you better get you one, before we start calling you a little girl. lol.

Some of the RF systems don't seem to have the problem. I think it is related to the area you are in and how your reception. My RF is better than my GMC and is as good or better than other trucks I have been in. I don't think there is much difference in FM reception to my Max's Bose which I really like.

They also said the Titan was the second heaviest in the bunch and only 161# lighter than the Ford. I thought the Dodge would be heavier than that. The Titan did look good in the performance tests.

It would be nice if somebody put the links to all of the various Titan articles in the FAQ.
