Sliding bed extender straps
If you have the tailgate down and the extender out on the tailgate, Where do you clip the straps?

I have been trying to solve that puzzle as well. It seems to be made to fit the tailgate locking mechanism on each side of the tailgate (the 'spool' that's attached to the strap).

Push the strap end attachment into the locking mechanism of each side of the tailgate until it snaps into place. To release, reach under and activate the tailgate latch.
These straps keep the extender from moving/bouncing up and down.
